31st day of 2009 01.31.09

I still haven't used a credit card this year. I am very proud of myself. My goal is to pay off as much debt as possible this year. Getting into credit card is so quick and easy but very hard to get it all paid off. I have been using my Shell card but I pay it off each month so I don't really count that as a credit card..........more of a tool. As soon as I get ahead in my checking account I will start using my debit card for gas.

Day #26 of 2009.............01.26.09

It's been a few days since my last post. On the 22nd we took my 11 year old son for his 3 month check up with his endocrinologist. Nothing shocking there........still doing well. On the 24th I took him for a haircut, a much needed haircut!!! He & I then spent the afternoon with Aunt #1; we took her to Wal-Mart for a shopping trip. She bought her some pretty scarfs since her hair has started to fall out. My sister will start her chemo tomorrow so please keep her in your prayers. I'm home today, both my daughters are sick. Will take them to the doctor later today.

ETA:

Almost had a wreck going to the doctor. Only by the grace of God did we not crash. I had a blessing for sure. Girls don't have strep....another blessing!

19th day of 2009 01.19.2009

My daughter's great grandmother died today. I'm here to tell you that woman is stubborn! I have no idea what she was waiting on but she has been on her death bed since for two weeks. I ask for prayers for her family.
I still haven't used a credit card this year; I'm very happy about this. However I 'm not happy about my credit card debt but this is the year to get start the decrease.
My sister will be starting chemo soon as well as Aunt #1, please keep them in your prayers.

16th day of 2009 01.16.09

IT'S FRIDAY!!!
I hope to get some rest this weekend, at least one day anyway. Robert, ex-FIL, was released from the hospital on Thursday, as well as Aunt #2. woot woot They are both feeling much better. I thank God for their healing. I pray Aunt #2 will change her diet and be with us for many years to come.
I hope everyone will have a wonderful weekend.

13th day of 2009 01.13.09

Aunt #2 had a heart cath today, one stint was placed for a 90% blockage. Doctor said she should be home in a day or two and will be good IF she changes her diet. I really don't see that happening since she has known for years she needs to take better care of herself. I hope I'm wrong and this procedure will turn her around.

Aunt #1 had her 5th radiation treatment today. She is doing very well. She will start chemo on the 22nd. I pray her frame of mind stays positive.

I'm so glad payday is coming soon and so is my family; the fridge is bare! I really hate buying groceries but when you need them as bad as we do one must go shopping!!

12th day of 2009 01.12.09

My day today:

Just stepping out of the shower when hubby walks in hands me the phone. I was needed to help get four of my nephews ready for school because my ex-MIL had them at her house and she was called to the hospital. After dropping kids off I proceeded to the hospital to check on Aunt #2 before she was transferred, then I sat with my ex-FIL for awhile and then I visited with ex-husband's grandmother. At 10:00 I picked up Aunt #1 to take her to radiation. Along the way we stop for her regular bathroom break and end up eating breakfast too....yum! We had a nice visit along the way. We drove an hour both ways for a visit that didn't last 10 minutes! Unbelievable quick! I then went back to the hospital to visit again. I feel like a regular Florence Nightingale! Now I'm ready for bed so I can work tomorrow.

11th day of 2009 01.11.09

From here on out I will refer to my aunt with cancer as, Aunt #1, and my aunt with heart trouble is, Aunt #2

Spent the day at the hospital. My daughter's great grandmother is still hanging on; Ant #2 was admitted to the hospital this morning she will have a heart cath tomorrow; my ex FIL was admitted to the same hospital this evening and will have a colonoscopy tomorrow. So much going on it's unbelievable. Tomorrow I will take Aunt #1 for radiation.

I haven't changed my diet and I'm not exercising either, unless walking hospital halls count!

9th day of 2009 01.09.2009

We had an OSHA seminar at work this morning; lasted about 4-5 hours. Then I got a phone call the doctors were calling in the family for my ex-husband's grandmother. I went and picked our daughter up from school and we spent 5 hours at the hospital. When we left she was still hanging on, she's always been kind of stubborn LOL I am just about ready to go to bed. zzzzzzzzzzz

8th day of 2008 01.08.09

Nothing big to report today. I'm proud of myself for something I did yesterday and forgot to post. I placed an order at Victoria Secret using a gift card my mom gave me for Christmas. Using the card I owed just under $4 and I used my debit card instead of my Angel's card. YAY ME!!!

Seventh day of 2009 01.07.09

Not much happened today. Just another day at work. Went to Wednesday night service. Enjoyed good food, company and message. I found this poem online and it really touched my heart with everything going on within my family right now. I hope you find a blessing below.

Today was another bad day at work. I get so sick of fixing mistakes other people make.

Went to visit my aunt tonight, she had a doctor appointment today and was told she has lung cancer. Very sad. She also has a brain tumor and will start radiation tomorrow. Anyone reading this please send up prayers.

Some how or another I have to come up with some money. I have a baby shower to attend on Saturday and I have no funds. boohoo

Fifth day of 2009 01.05.09

Back to work today after a 4 day weekend. I don't think it's worth being off the day was so hectic. I forgot to eat breakfast......really didn't have time, ate Subway at lunch just because I had a gift card. My 3 year had dance tonight, hubby took her, he also took the 16 year old to buy some school supplies. I've had a headache for two days........sinus are yuck!!! I have nothing to add or nothing profound to say so good nite!

Fourth day of 2009 01.04.2009

Only four days into 2009 and I already forgot to post yesterday. Yesterday I spent several hours helping my mother clean out my grandmothers home. My grandmother moved into an assisted living home in the summertime and her house has sold, so cleaning out has been taking up a lot of my mother's time. Saturday seemed so long, I went to bed at 9:00 which is very early for me, I usually stay up late on the weekends. Today I went to work for about 5 hours. Over Christmas and New Year I had to fill in for people out on vacation so my work piled up on my desk......really didn't want to go in tomorrow to all that. I really have a bad headache now and think I will rest awhile. I will post more tonight, if anything exciting happens.

Day #2 01.02.2009

WOW! If today lays out what the year is going to be like I'm in trouble.

Took my daughter shopping (she had Christmas money). She even bought my lunch and wouldn't let me spend any money, Thank you child!

This afternoon my sister came over to give me bad news. When she called to say she was coming I thought maybe she had news about our aunt in the hospital, nope. She was coming to tell me she has breast cancer. What a shock. I have no idea how to handle this but together we will. Anyone reading this.......please pray for her.

New Year's Day

First day of the new year........spent the morning at home with my girls. We then had lunch at mother-in-law's house. Hubby & son went to my father-in-law's home, spent the day with him. Took our Christmas tree down, went to the grocery store and not much else. My goals for this year are: diet & exercise (of course) and budget. I'm sure these aren't unfamiliar goals as half the world makes them each and every year. I will start work on the diet/exercise part starting Monday and the budget will start on the 15th (next payday).
